Approaching First Draft

As you may remember, I got to the ‘rough draft’ stage some weeks ago. Since then I’ve been revising and polishing, making a few changes to the manuscript of Closer Than Family–most of them minor, but significant.

With luck, I should have my manuscript in front of my editor by the end of this month. I’ve come almost to the end of the changes I decided to make, and from there, I will want to revise mostly for consistency and polish. I’ll probably read through a couple more times once this round of edits is complete doing that, and then see if my editor cares to take a look.

Then I’m sure there will be even more revisions, because otherwise what’s an editor for?
