Well, I had intended to be more active here over the last couple of months, but with nothing book-related to report, I didn’t want to irritate people (and clutter up my archive) with a bunch of posts that consistently said ‘book still in editing, It’ll get done as soon as I can manage’. However, this week, I actually have some real news!
This coming weekend, I’m selling at the Montana Renaissance Festival: I have nearly everything straightened out, including my table decor, the most important part of my stock (the books), as well as, of course, my banner sign. As usual, I’ll be selling Tamed Hearts paperbacks for $12, with each copy including a complimentary promotional bookmark. I also have a few very nice wolf fang replica pendants that are going for $12 as well, with extra bookmarks going for $1 each. And I’m running a special: paperback plus pendant for $20 total. Considering that the Amazon price point for the paperback is $15, that deal is an $8 savings!
I’m not sure where we’ll be, exactly, but the RenFest site has a grounds map that at least gives you an overview of the Zoo. I hope to see lots of people there!
I should be hearing back from my editor soon for the first round of changes to the manuscript for Closer Than Family, which is good news, of course. Moreover, I’ve started in earnest on Hellhound. It’s going to take quite a while to get my third manuscript straightened out, so I figured why not get started? I honestly have no idea how long it will be, but it’s certainly a more complicated narrative than either of the first two.
And that’s what I know. No excerpts of Closer Than Family for now, because I don’t want to give the whole thing away. See you all this weekend!
